Hi,
My name is Rafael, I was born in Brazil, now living in Los Angeles.
I graduated as a cinematography major with a AA at SMC and a BFA at CCH. Through all my ten years of college I mostly worked as a Lighting technician for everything from shorts, to music videos, to feature, documentaries, events…You name it.
Either as a DP or Photographer, I always strive to find that special element that will make the frame extraordinary and help telling the story. And because of my background I pride myself of focusing on the right lighting for a scene just as much as the framing.
I've been fortunate enough to have projects featured in the Gasparilla International Film Festival in Austin and the Brazil Cinefest in Rio de Janeiro.
As a photographer I worked with Saca Products, Mayra Berenice en Vivo and Fifth Atrium.
